Eliza Ann Bristowe
This page will have information on Eliza Ann Bristowe, (ne้
Banks) who was born in New York, U.S.A. on 2 July 1776 (two days
before the Declaration of Independance). She married Charles
Gilbert Fox in 1794, and subsequent to his death (1795) married in
1797 in New York, Samuel Bristowe (1766~1846), the son of Thomas
Bristowe and Mary Fosbrooke.
A "notebook history" of her life was recorded by her
only daughter of her first marriage (Mary Ann Lesiter, ne้ Fox and
also known as Gilbert), and a great deal of Eliza Ann's life
and times is available to us.
Eliza Ann Bristowe also left a short Will, and pertainent facts
from it will be revealed.
