Samuel Ellis Bristowe

Samuel was born in New York, U.S.A. and at the request of his great-uncle (Samuel Bristowe, 1736~1818) was sent to England in 1808, when 8 years of age, to commence his education at Repton School in Derbyshire. Following his education at Repton School, he went on to further his education at the University of Cambridge. Samuel was later to inheirit his great-uncle Samuel Bristowe's large estates in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
